My name is Vito Niikpakpa Buckle. I am a college graduate, philanthropist, role model, mentor, father, and basketball coach. I have over 26 years of experience in playing and coaching combined.I graduated from Gaithersburg High School and played Division II basketball at Missouri Western State University. I hold three degrees: one in Sports Management and Recreation Administration with a minor in Community Sports, another in General Education, and a third in Computer Applications.I am an experienced multi-level coach who uses interpersonal and influential skills both on and off the court to encourage students to perform at their best in basketball, in life, and in the classroom. I am a high-IQ coach who focuses on ball and body movement, and on pulling the best out of kids. David Kosc
Grassroots Director
David brings more than 30 years of combined playing and coaching experience in high school basketball, including time at Wheaton High School and Richard Montgomery High School (RM). After putting his coaching career on pause when his son, Dylan, was born, David returned to the sidelines and spent the next six years coaching Dylan’s baseball and basketball teams. In 2025, he returned to RM as an assistant coach with both the JV and varsity basketball programs.David has a genuine passion for helping others and giving back to the community. His approach to coaching goes beyond wins and losses—he strives to be someone his players can count on, whether they need someone to listen, offer support, or provide guidance on or off the court.In 2024, David became the Grassroots Director for Vito Official and has played an integral role in the program’s growth, helping expand it from three grassroots teams in 2024 to eight teams the following spring. He oversees many of the program’s behind-the-scenes administrative responsibilities, including parent communication and the coordination and management of tryouts throughout the year.In addition to his role as Grassroots Director, David works alongside Coach Vito as an assistant with the program’s high school teams. He also coaches Vito Focused (2032) and Vito Gremlins (2035).For David, coaching is ultimately about relationships, mentorship, and creating a positive environment where young athletes can develop as both players and people.
